LASG STAFFERS RECEIVE CERTIFICATION FROM CILRM



The Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management of Nigeria (CILRM) has certified four staffers of the Lagos State Ministry of Finance as members of the professional body. The individuals are Ms. Adenike Ogunmodede, Mr. Temitope Ajulo, Ms. Titilayo Adamson and Mr. Ganiyu Durojaiy.
Congratulating the staff during the presentation of certificates at the Ministry, the Director, Insurance Department, Mr. Akintunde Yusuf (FCILRM), encouraged them to comply strictly with the ethics of the profession in the discharge of their duties, while being good ambassadors of the Department, the Ministry and Lagos State Government.
He explained that the recipients sponsored themselves to acquire more knowledge in order to be certified members of the Chartered Institute of Loan & Risk Management of Nigeria, adding that the enabling work environment and various opportunities provided by the State government also made it possible for them to attain the feat.
Yusuf encouraged other government officials in the Ministry to take advantage of the opportunities at their disposal to enrol for programmes that will improve their knowledge and enhance their professional career in the Civil Service.
The Director also commended the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for providing a conducive work environment and ensuring that the welfare of civil servants remains on the priority list.
On his part, the Registrar-General/Chief Executive Officer of CILRM, Dr. Uzombah N. Innocent, disclosed that members of the CILRM enhanced their professionalism through capacity building in order to meet the demands of loan and risk management practice, adding that members can also get certified in the United Kingdom.
He stated that the Institute organises annual national loan and risk management seminars and workshops for members in all sectors of the economy to promote the advancement of loan and risk management in the Nigerian economy.
Dr. Emmanuel Kayode Oladimeji, Honourary Fellow Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management (FCILRM), said the body identifies, promotes international standards and best practices for risk management practitioners.
